Be YOU

There's a quote that I frequently read repeatedly.  It's part of a speech that
was given by Steve Jobs:  "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone
else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most
importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow
already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." ~
Steve Jobs 
 
How powerful is that?  The older I get, the more I appreciate free thinkers.... those
who don't just blindly go along with the crowd.  And not only that, but
this quote makes ME feel so much more empowered to be who I am, and not an
imitation of anyone else.... even with all of my many faults and
other not-always-awesome qualities, I'm still ok... And as another quote
goes, "Wanting to be someone else is a waste of who you are."
 
And one more brilliantly wise quote along the same order ~  “To be yourself in a world
that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest
accomplishment.” - Ralph W. Emerson
 
So I hope you'll join me today - don't waste another minute trying to be someone or
something you're not.... be a rebel... be true to yourself... be YOU!
