killed this ten point on our place while Howard was at work -- I hunted this guy for 17 straight days, and was thrilled when I finally got him!

2017 was the first year that all three of us got a nice buck in the same season ~ Howard and I killed ours over near the Mississippi River, and Calvin got his hunting here on our land.

about me

          Born and raised in Batesville, Mississippi, I'm a graduate of South Panola High School and Ole Miss, where I received both  bachelor's and master's degrees in education.  I earned my National Board Certification in 1999.  In 2012 I began working as a realtor part time with Magnolia Realty while still teaching school full time. After over 25 years of teaching, I retired from education in 2014 and have continued working in real estate full time.  I also write and edit for Southern Healthcare Agency.  I'm married to Howard Hawkins, and we have one son, Calvin, an Ole Miss graduate and a licensed realtor, too!  Additionally, I'm a lifelong member of the Batesville Presbyterian Church.  
         After getting started in real estate in  2012, I've loved it ever since!  North Mississippi is my area, primarily Batesville and Oxford, though I've listed and sold all over North Mississippi, and as far south as Ridgeland and Flowood. Working with great people and helping make their dreams come true is the best part of my job, and my clients are definitely appreciated! In addition, I especially enjoy the photography and website work of showcasing and marketing beautiful properties by creating unique online listings!  I love a challenge and am looking forward to helping you conquer yours! 
         During my free time I enjoy reading, writing,  hunting, photography, painting, gardening, fishing, bird/wildlife-watching, and just about anything that has to do with nature and outdoor living.  
        In December of 2019, I opened a new brokerage, Landhawk Realty, LLC, and Calvin is joining me in this venture! We look forward to serving you in the future!
